Privacy Policy

How we use and protect your personal information when you visit our site or ask for advice.

Who is responsible

Help to Lend is a trading style of Paul Chatha, an appointed representative of King Mortgages Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Contact us about your data at info@helptolend.co.uk, +44 7497 034811, or 89 Stenson Road, DE23 1JF. This contact address is not presented here as a registered office.

Information we collect

When you enquire, we collect the details you enter, including name, email, phone, interests, employment, property and borrowing figures, contact preferences and any message. We may also receive referral and campaign details associated with your enquiry. If you become a client, we may need additional financial, identity and, where relevant to protection, health information, which we will explain when requested. Please do not send sensitive documents through the website forms.

How and why we use it

We use your details to respond to your request, arrange a conversation and, if you proceed, assess your circumstances and provide advice. We generally rely on steps requested before entering into a contract or performance of a contract for advice-related processing, legitimate interests for administering enquiries, and legal obligations for required records. Where we ask for marketing consent, it can be withdrawn at any time. An enquiry alone is not marketing consent. Additional information about lawful bases for later advice-stage processing will be provided when relevant.

Who we share it with

Authorised staff and providers that help operate the site and respond to enquiries may access information. Enquiry details are sent through an email delivery provider and may also be saved to a connected Google Sheet when that integration is enabled. If you open the booking calendar, Calendly processes the information you give it under its own notice. If you proceed with advice, we may share relevant details with lenders, insurers and professional partners where needed to provide your service. We do not sell your information.

International transfers and security

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. International transfers are subject to applicable data-protection rules and safeguards; contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, although online transmission cannot be guaranteed completely secure.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to respond to you, deliver services and meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The period depends on whether you become a client and the type of record. Contact us to ask about the retention period for your information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email info@helptolend.co.uk to make a request. If you remain dissatisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
